2017, March 18 &19 Introduction to Gestalt Music Therapy - GESTALT ART THERAPY CENTRE

Gestalt Therapy Centre and the collaboration of Zebunissa Anna Parker

  • Gestalt Therapy and Music by Yaro Starak
  • Transforming Self through Music, Voice and movement by Zebunissa Anna Parker

Hazrat Inayat Khan, the great Sufi mystic says" The whole of life in all it's aspects is one single music: and the real spiritual attainment is to tune one's self to the harmony of this perfect music

Meet the potential within yourself and others as vital and unique instruments of harmony, and take yourself to deeper states of peace, that transcend the ego and bring healing.

In many spiritual paths, the use of sound is an essential form of meditation and connection to the Higher Self. By tuning our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies with music and movement, we become aware of the different planes of existence. This allows our dormant qualities of intuition and creativity to surface, and to bring the divine into the ordinary. nice!

In this weekend, you will learn:

  • Connect music with the brain vibrations to effect healing
  • Experience how sound and movement enable our awareness of the inner self
  • The use of the rhythm to enable our inner balance
  • Learn how music and gestalt therapy can be useful in therapy sessions

Yaro Starak has extensive experience for over thirty years in group facilitation in Australia and in many countries around the world. Yaro has a warm, affirming manner and endeavours to help participants understand their unique style and gifts and to use them to their best advantage in the group situations. His perspectives in Gestalt Therapy ensure a deep understanding of the dynamics of group energy. His background in lecturing gives a clear methodology to the theoretical basis of group work. He is also the author of a new book on group work and art therapy.

Zebunissa Anna Parker is an experienced facilitator and practitioner/guide in the Sufi Inayati Order. She has been a musician all her life, playing flute in symphony orchestras and in bands and chanting circles. As a mentor of the Dances of Universal Peace, she has over 30 years of exploring the effects of music on our wellbeing. Anna also plays a variety of other instruments and along with her partner Andrew, the inveterate guitarist and harmonium player, will lead you into a blissful day of exploration, deep peace and joy, that will transform your being.
